This project strengthens the support for the provision of education to Syrian refugee children, as well as the ties of cooperation between double-shift schools to increase the quality of education and decrease the drop-out rates in public schools. The project tackles social cohesion in 100 double-shift schools among students and between parents of Syrian and Jordanian students by increasing their representation and role in School Improvement Committees (SICs).

Madrasati implemented ‘Introducing Music Education in Jordanian Public Schools’ project to mainstream music education at public schools by accomplishing major milestones, which include development of a national music curriculum, teachers’ training material, and a scalable music education model.

Remedial Centers address low academic performance in four basic subjects: Arabic, English, Math and Science. The centers serve refugees from different nationalities and vulnerable Jordanians and promote social cohesion among Syrian refugees and Jordanian students to tackle the root causes and change conditions conducive to violence in public schools. As a result, students cultivate their creative talents, gain life skills, develop positive relations with their peers and increase self-confidence.

Proud To Be a Teacher provides an opportunity for teachers to be inspired and acknowledged. It aims to motivate teachers, build their knowledge, core skills, capacity, and increase their pride in their profession. It emphasizes teachers’ personal development though equipping them with social and interpersonal skills and encouraging them to work effectively in teams.

Students’ Clubs (Masahati) are alternative learning spaces within the school. The clubs offer valuable learning opportunities in different alternative pathways and help students explore their physical, creative, and social potential. Each club is designed according to the students’ aspirations and includes a set of activities in different fields. Social and emotional learning is embedded throughout our interventions which promotes social cohesion among students from different nationalities and backgrounds. Madrasati empowers schools to engage communities and lead education reform.
